Wang, Duit, Pitih, Fulus, Ringgit, Sen, Dollar, Pound...

Assalamualaikum and hello to all...

I'm tired all over today... the charity rugby vs football match yesterday surely contributed much to it... it was pretty fun, quite a good crowd turned up although it rained for a while before kick-off... the first 40 minutes, we got battered by the football team 5 goals to nil... I started at left wing and played for about 20 minutes or so... most of us ruggers didn't feel that comfortable being attacked by our opponents with such speed and 'less' contact...

we did turn the game around in the second half, again I played left wing but for the final 20 minutes... we ran at least 7 tries against them without conceding any... luckily a try is equal to a goal, so the final score was 7-5 for the medics rugby... it could have been 35-7!!!

I spent the rest of the day in rusholme, at syed ibrahim's house... watched the whole chelsea-liverpool game, plus a 20-minutes period with me dozing off (half-time break not included!!!)... stopped over at a Yemeni brother's house after 'Asr in Shah Jalal Mosque... met him again outside the mosque after maghrib, this time with few other malaysians and yemenis... it surprised me when one of the yemeni brothers said that we Malaysians have this 'glow of Deen' on our faces... whatever it is, hopefully this 'glow' will always stay on me, together with all the necessary and sincere actions as a Muslim, insya Allah...

yesterday was also the day when all the JPA scholars throughout the world (i think...) received their living allowances (paid every 3 months)... my personal page in the JPA website looked like this:-

thanks a lot to JPA for your kindness, and for the 10% increment in the allowance... i also like to take this chance to thank all of my fellow Malaysians, especially the tax-payers, for 'indirectly' (i think the term 'directly' is more appropriate here...) assisting us in our studies overseas... please pray that all my friends and i will return as better citizens, to work and struggle in making Malaysia a better country, maintaining the well-being of the population, and above all, raising Islam and the Words of Allah to its most respected level... MAY ALLAH REWARDS US ALL ACCORDINGLY

"Our Lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after You hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Your own Presence; for You are the Grantor of bounties without measure."
